CSS program in Mid-South communities, currently including Englewood and West Englewood – Family Focus, Inc (provider).

CSS service partner in Far South communities, currently Roseland, Pullman, West Pullman, and Riverdale - Metropolitan Family Services, Inc. (service provider).

CSS program in North communities, to include Lakeview, Uptown, Edgewater, Rogers Park and West Ridge - Heartland Human Care Services (provider).

CSS program in West side communities, to include Humboldt Park, Logan Square, West Town – Casa Central (service provider).

National Safe Start Sites and Programs

The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention established the Safe Start demonstration project (Tier I) in 2000. Eleven sites received funds to local initiate strategic planning, service delivery, and systems change activities concerning young children’s exposure to violence.

In 2005, OJJDP awarded 15 new sites as Safe Start Promising Approaches sites to expand and develop promising activities for children exposed to violence.

CSS Incubators:

Incubator projects are established when lead organizations partner with CSS to develop a firm commitment to respond to CEV.

Kids Space Project

CSS partnered with CDPH health clinics across to develop and/or enhance clinic waiting rooms to ensure that young children have age-appropriate activities and feel welcome and safe.
